I would say, obviously,
it is easier to watch movies instead of reading books. Reasons will not be
applicable for that person who created that movie as he already poured his
imagination. People find it easy to visualize through visualization which does
not require much brain cells to input, process and output. It is believed by
many researchers, 1 part of the brain out 10, remain active during watching
movies or television. Mainly, those
activities, processes and imaginations have already been thought for better
comprehension by producer. Thus, viewers require less effort to understand and
perceive, keeping aside the Art genre.
Reading books
can rather be a hard working task, regardless of the type of book you read.
Reading engages several parts of the brain cells; it shapes the way of
imagination or creativity at the first place. Writer might have something else
on his head whereas it might not be same imagined by the reader. Simultaneously,
reading literatures can enrich knowledge, language, creativity and most importantly
boosts up the process of thinking. This is how this activity of reading
literatures can be considered as a sublime task.
Finally,
watching movies can be fund but reading books might not be same as watching,
but book outweighs with the advantages.
