Can social media help relieving our pain points?

Can social media help relieving our pain points?

We frequently use social media to get rid of our loneliness. Actually, it has become a very so called intimate friend of ours without which survival may come into question. People possess an account of social media, for instance, Facebook, like an asset or sometimes a market place where we need to show off our lifestyles from every angle. In other words, through showing off we can represent ourselves to what extent we can fake the way we live. Thus, people living around us may sometime fall into a pressure of leading a prosperous and an exciting life to be considered as a hot tomato by others.

Here comes the question, are we really happy by the way we edit our image to post it online? Does it really make sense in terms of uploading pictures and getting likes of others? However, 90% of people find satisfaction in it which was proved and established by many. Besides, many believe that, doing something stupid always brings pleasure for no reason. Actually, it is nothing but occupying our brain with unproductive and addictive activities through which a group of talented and shrewd people take  pretty financial benefits out of this.

As far as, society and relationship are concerned, for the sake of so called newly defined “friendship”, people can make themselves connected in order to create relationship. Regardless of the type of acquaintance, people make friends on facebook with a single click of his mouse without considering further consequences. However, people can remain connected as long as facebook account is active, eventually that number of person increases exponentially to a large of number of friends.

Now, another issue arises, which is easy as pie, how effective bonding it helps to build? Or maybe it is limited with only giving likes, posting comments and showing reactions on a time to time basis instead of taking a cup of tea together. Do we really remember the time when that friend gave a pat on my shoulder? Or the time when you started learning guitar with the direction of your friend?
